Mental Health Support For Children&Adolescents

Children and adolescents can experience a wide range of challenges related to school and their everyday lives, which can impact their learning, social, physical and emotional well-being.

This may include, but not limited to:

  • Separation anxiety
  • Difficulty navigating friendships
  • Bullying
  • Attentional difficulties
  •  Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  •  Stress related to exams such as the Higher School Certificate (HSC)
  • Social anxiety
  • Exploring self-identity
  • Risk-taking behaviours
  • Fear of public speaking.

At our clinic, we take a holistic approach, exploring the underlying factors contributing to school-related challenges, including social, emotional, and developmental aspects.

Treatment is tailored to each child or adolescent and may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), or creative modalities such as Play-Based Therapy or Art-Based Therapy, depending on the indviduals  age, needs, and preferences.

Our goal is to support students in building coping strategies, confidence, and resilience, both academically and socially.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work, the Dharug people of the Bankstown area and the Eora Nation of greater Sydney. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present.
