Trauma can significantly affect emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)can develop following a single distressing event, such as a car accident, a serious medical event, or miscarriage. Symptoms may include intrusive memories, flashbacks, avoidance of reminders, hyper vigilance, and emotional numbness.
Complex PTSD (C-PTSD) often arises from prolonged or repeated trauma, particularly in the context of relationships, such as chronic emotional abuse, neglect, or domestic violence. C-PTSD can involve difficulties with emotional regulation, self-perception, and forming secure relationships.
At our clinic, we take a holistic approach to trauma, exploring the context of each individual’s experiences, including past abuse, ongoing relational difficulties, or co-occurring mental health challenges. Treatment is personalised and may include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, and EMDR, helping clients process traumatic experiences, build resilience, improve relationships, and develop sustainable coping strategies for long-term healing.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work, the Dharug people, and the Traditional Custians of the greater Sydney region, the Eora Nation. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past, present, and emerging.
