MEET irum malik - registered psychologist

Irum has extensive and varied experience within the government and private sectors including roles in assessment and private counselling. Irum has worked with a wide range of clients and issues. Irum offers therapy in both English and Urdu.


Irum is a psychologist who will be present, compassionate and non judgmental. Irum works collaboratively with her clients to bring the change they are seeking, empower them and help build resilience.


Irum aims to provide a safe space for people to explore the challenges they are facing, develop strategies to overcome difficulties and build a sense of wellbeing in their lives. Irum understands the importance of building a trusting relationship in therapy and prioritises connection and a collaborative approach to working through individual’s problems.


Irum brings experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).


Irum is able to accept clients 16 years & above, through Medicare, Workers Compensation/CTP, Private Health Insurance, Work Development Orders (WDO) and referrals for Couples Counselling. Irum also has extensive experience supporting Veterans.


Irum completed a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and Masters of Psychology (Organisational/ Industrial Relations). Irum holds general registration as a psychologist with AHPRA and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). 


Available on Fridays - via Telehealth (video and phone) between 11:00am to 7:30pm
